The Feathers Beanie is a very cozy crochet beanie pattern. I love this puffy texture of the feather stitch.

As you will have seen in theFeathers Ear Warmer Crochet Pattern, the feather stitch is a puff stitch cluster worked in the spaces between the stitches in the row or rounds below. In this beanie pattern, the stitches are worked in rounds however, after joining at the end of each round you will turn your work. This will ensure that the feather stitches are lying in their proper direction to give the feather look.

The Construction:

The Feathers Beanie is worked from the bottom up. The brim is an easy brim that is worked using half double crochet stitches in the third loop. For the crown of the beanie, you will work feather stitch clusters which I will show you how to work in the video tutorial below.

The Materials:

The yarn shown in the photos above is called Scarfie by Lion Brand Yarn. It is an acrylic/wool blended yarn that is a bulky weight. I love how cozy it looks and it’s gradually changing colours. For the ear warmer you will need about one ball. For this pattern you will also need a 6.5 mm crochet hook. In the video tutorial below you will see me working with a Wooden Streamline crochet hook by Furls Crochet.
