HHARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE2+ weeks agoAgencyThe Harris County Sheriff's Office and Major Saul Suarez joined the Harris County District Clerk at a press conference to raise awareness about jury duty scams in Harris County. We’ve had cases where the scammers would pose as HCSO deputies, and contact victims by phone, claiming they have arrest warrants for missing jury duty. They then coerce victims into paying fines to avoid arrest, often through unconventional methods like gift cards or Bitcoin. If you believe you're a victim of this type of scam, please call 713-221-6000. Remember, the HCSO will never contact you by phone for missing jury duty. If you have any questions or concerns about jury duty, always verify information directly with the Harris County District Clerk's office at 713-755-6392.
